321: Piercings & Posies

So Saturday I went with the first bridesmaid to try on dresses!! Bridesmaid P, our moms & I went to Alfred Angelo & P tried on some dresses-like 12 of them. She liked a few of them. I think I wrote about 6-7 down that she liked. We then went to Piercing Pagoda & she got her second holes pierced! She was quite nervous after she got there.

After that we went to The Distillery for dinner :) yummm. I love their chicken fingers!! We went home after that & today we got to go to the bridal show at the Radisson hotel.

It was way different than I expected. I know there wasn't a ton of room where they had everyone, but they had mostly DJ's & photographers (both of which we already have). There was only 2 florists (one I got a bouquet that they had as a sampler! Pictures are below), 2 bakeries (I picked that out too), a couple registries, stationary places, tuxedo places (which makes you put $10 when I don't even know what Josh wants to do about that yet), some photobooths (which would be AWESOME but they are sooo expensive we won't be doing them) and a few other vendors-nothing extremely interesting. We'll be going to a couple more shows-in October & January there are expos, and a spring bridal show in March. Maybe I'll win a prize at one of those!

(As soon as I saw one person with a bouquet, I ran back to their area so I could make sure I got this bouquet! It's close to what I want!)
Here are some other bouquets I saw that I liked:

I didn't win any door prizes, but I did get a 2nd free class at Move Studios! I'm excited! Their website doesn't have much information on it yet though-I would like to see some prices so I could possible go there regularly. I'll have to call & find out when I can go in! They have belly dancing, pilates, yoga & some other cool dance things-and they do bridal party choreographed dances! Which would be so fun to do!

I have a ton of information to go through-which will sit in a pile along with everything else I have to go through-ugh-I really hate this whole school thing! It's taking away from time to do wedding planning-I have a ton to organize and go through. My binder's just overflowing!

Well-I think it's about time I go back to my homework. I'm about done with my project for the girls-but I'll post that stuff up after the get together on October 9th! We'll be doing our nails! :)

I'll also write about the proposal-I know I haven't done that yet. I'll do that soon-in the next couple days & give you something a little more interesting to read :)

Did you have any luck winning prizes at bridal shows?

325: So We Know Where You Got the Ideas...

...but where do you get the supplies?

Well, I'll tell you!! Now, this post really won't have any pictures. I know. I really hate when there aren't any either, but I'm just showing you where I buy stuff from. I promise-I'll show more pictures soon!

328: How the Dog Got Her Nickname

When we left off, we had just brought Daisy home from Lollypop Farm. The next part will be a little about adapting to a new dog.

WARNING: There are a couple graphic pictures of bodily functions.

329: Our Decision for a Baby...

We're getting closer to the 300 mark! Yay!!

I finally have some time to tell y'all about the baby (well-I'm kind of procrastinating studying for my 3 tests this week :P).

336: The Beginning of the Rest of Our Lives

It started wayyy back in October 2003. We were both sophomores in high school at the time, and there was a movie night one Friday night at my church, which also included Josh's church, who had a band playing before the movie. There were less than 15 people there between our two youth groups, and everyone from his was in the band! I was with standing with JJ when we were singing & I noticed that the drummer was pretty cute! All through the movie I couldn't get him out of my head through the whole movie (I was staring part of the time...not gonna lie).

When I went back to school on Monday, I noticed that cute drummer in one of my classes! I actually sat like two seats behind him too! Even better, I saw he was in band with me too! By about December all my friends (& the band teacher) knew I had a little crush on the drummer (in case you didn't's Josh :P). When my church was going to have a "lock-in" in January at the bowling alley, I jumped at the chance at inviting his youth group to go to that event as well. That event came & unfortunately, his church was at once end of the alley, while mine was at the other. A friend of ours who we invited & Josh knew, kept trying to get Josh to hang out down by our end, but it didn't exactly happen, although we did get to play euchere together (I'm not the best player-I just play for fun...but he plays to win haha- I actually think he was surprised I knew how to play.)

339: Centerpiece Indecision Part 1, Finding Craft Ideas

The other craft thing I've done is finish getting supplies for beginning projects for the girls! :) I'm quite excited to start these. I just need to find some stamp cleaner before I start. This one I'd like to get to them soon (I'll put up pics after) & the other one, which is part of their gift, I won't have to do for a few months, so I may or may not try it, just to see how it goes, but I don't have to probably until my semester's done-which will be crazy wedding time!

I think other than all of that, I haven't done really anything-except procrastinate stuff that needs to get done-so I think I'll get back to work!
Some things I have been doing are looking at craft stuff for various projects. One is the centerpieces. I have these vases that are hour glass shaped, but would really love square ones- which I found at Save On Crafts for only a little more than I got the other vases for. I also saw battery operated tealights for fairly cheap, which I discussed getting (if I could find them) so we don't have to worry about flames going out & we can just sell them after the wedding. So, we'll have to see. I'd LOVE to get them all now, but there's not really a place to put them.

341: There's a First For Everything...

...and this time it's PRESENTS!!! :)

I'm back!
Yesterday was my brother T's 18th birthday so after church we had his party, then went to Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner (which was really good), and then over to Josh's family's Labor Day party for a little.

343: Taking Her Home! (Still No Pictures)

So we came back from Alfred Angelo a couple hours ago with the dress!!! I'm super excited, but now we're trying to clean up places to put it somewhere! I should really get started on that & cleaning out the closet. We got approved for the credit card too, which is really exciting! We can use it on anything we get there! It was so weird to try on MY dress. I was trying to be really careful so nothing would happen. I'll have to get a slip too-which I'll be looking around for. I've seen some online-I just didn't know what size to get for me. I guess I have somewhat of an idea. We'll see! I have some time to worry about the slip--only about until April when we start the whole alteration part-which I'm trying to figure out how much I want them to do & how much I want my FMIL to do. We'll see on that too.

I have some organizing to do still-but I should probably clean out the closet first-if I can get around to it. Will Ferrell-a-thon pt 2 is tonight! So I'll be there from like 5:30-I go to bed. Tim's birthday is tomorrow & I have all Monday to do stuff! And I still have some homework to I'll do that first. I should get moving now so I can get as much done as I can. :)

345: Excuses, Excuses

So I'm almost done with the first week of classes for the semester! Too bad there's 14 more weeks left!

For the most part the classes aren't too bad--it's just the schedule...
