264: Music Monday #5 (Processional or Recessional)

This week's Music Monday will be looking at a recessional idea. I think...I'm unsure what I would do with it if it was used! :)

So I heard this song on the radio last week & couldn't help but think that this song could make either a good first dance song or a good recessional. I'd love to do this as a recessional-it could even be a good processional!

The lyrics are in the video, but just in case you want to read at your own pace or without the music!

History in the Making-Darius Rucker

Don’t move Baby Don’t move
Awww look at you
I just want to take this in
The moonlight dancing off your skin
Our time Lets take our time
I just want to look in your eyes
and catch my breath
Cuz I just got a feeling

This could be one of those memories
We want to hold on to, cling to,
one we can’t forget
Baby, this could be our last first kiss
The door to forever
What if this was that moment
That chance worth taking
History in the making

Inside, baby inside
Can you feel the butterflies?
Floating all around
Cuz I can sure feel them now
Tonight, maybe tonight
Is a start of a beautiful ride
that will never end
And baby I’ve got a feeling

This could be one of those memories
We want to hold on to, cling to,
One we can’t forget
Baby, this could be our last first kiss
The door to forever
What if this was that moment
That chance worth taking
History in the making

Right here, right now
Holding you in my arms

This could be one of those memories
We want to hold on to, we want to cling to,
One that we can’t forget
Baby, this could be our last first kiss
The door to forever
What if this was that moment
That chance worth taking
History in the making

Where would you use this song?

  1. Oh my! I love the idea for the processional for sure! I can imagine the first chorus playing all nice and slow and then right before it really kicks up with the beat, the doors open and there you are! Ah, can you imagine it? Breathtaking...and you walk down the aisle to the rest of the song. I am doing something sort of like that. My best friend did something like that...it's totally powerful. Your guests will totally get welled up with tears, excitement, smiles. Oh my gosh the look on my BFF's groom's face when the doors opened...he knew right when he would see her with the music kicking in and his face just lit up and the tears started flowing. Ah-mazing!

  2. That would be cool!! I'm so undecided! I really love the other one- I think I posted it last week-the one from Shrek. They both go! :)
